The Pulse is part of Bauer’s innovation series where they like to push the limits, whether it’s building the lightest sticks on the market or doing something wild like putting a hole in the blade. This year Bauer designed a stick with two distinct energy zones in the shaft, with its fusion kick-point.
The fusion kick-point gives you the best of both worlds with the smooth, controlled load of a mid-kick with the lightning-fast release of a low-kick. Fire off shots that catch goalies off guard or create dynamic, game-changing plays that leave defenders chasing.
In the shaft is Advanced Carbon Layering 2.0. Textreme, which is Bauer’s top of the line carbon fiber and ACL 2.0 processes carbon fiber into thinner layers laid out in multiple directions to reduce weight.
Found throughout the shaft and intertwined with the Textreme is the element Boron, which was first seen in the AG5NT stick. What makes boron so unique for a hockey stick is that it has two times the compression strength and two times the stiffness compared to the best carbon fiber in the world. In addition, Bauer has the exclusive partnership to be able to take boron, which comes in a powder form, and creates it into a fiber, so you can utilize it in a hockey stick.
At the bottom of the stick lies the Pulse Blade Core, a stiff blade constructed from foam and carbon fiber. Embedded within the foam are two carbon bridges that both reinforce the core and cut down on weight. This firm blade pairs seamlessly with the Fusion kick point, giving players excellent puck feel and control in any situation.
